Clothespin Words
Location: indoor
Materials: clothespins and a permanent marker
Use your children's love of clothespins to create an engaging literacy activity.
Take a set of clothespins (at least 26, but you'll probably want more than that so you can create duplicate letters) and write one letter on each clothespin in permanent marker.
Store the clothespins in a bucket or basket with word cards, so that children can match the correct letter clothespin to the word card. You might create words cards featuring the names of each child, as well as any other things they've been very interested in lately.
