Water Play

Water Play

Location: indoor or outdoor

Materials: a water table, low tupperware container, or baking tray; plastic scoops, cups, and sponges

You don't need a fancy water table to give your infants an opportunity for water play. Simply repurpose a low plastic tub or baking tray. Set out the tray with a small amount of water in it. You can include a variety of other toys, or simply let the water be the main event.

Your infants will love splashing in the water with their hands. You may notice that even if you haven't included other toys with the water set up, they may gather materials from around the room to add in.
