Materials: a soft cushion, tissue paper, tape
To prepare, loosely tape a few sheets of tissue paper around a couch cushion or other pillow. Lay an infant near the cushion and help them kick their feet against the pillow. Show surprise at the sound it makes. Repeat the movement with their feet until they take over.
- Try different types of materials taped to the pillow to create a different sensory experience (ex: tin foil, wax paper, bubble wrap, etc.)
- This can also be done in a crib or pack & play by taping different materials to the walls of the crib
