Materials: a ball or other toy

Help your infants practice their visual tracking, whether they are lying on their backs or stomachs or being held in your arms. Hold a toy up for the infant to see, roll it around the floor or air slowly. Watch how they are watching you.

Possible Extensions:

• Infants love the element of surprise! As they develop and are better at tracking your movement of the toy include some surprises (ex: the toy "disappearing" behind you and then "reappearing" again on the other side)
